I want to consolidate my defaulted school loans and defaulted credit card.?

I have 6 defaulted school loans for about 00 and a 00 credit card loan that I would like to consolidate all together if possible. Can anybody recommend a good consolidation loan that could help me? I am trying to catch up and get my finances in order.

Bankruptcy? debt consolidation service? Consumer Credit Counceling Serv?

I'm trying to not file for bankruptcy. Overdraft protection is the only thing keeping me from making late or no payments at all on my bills and that's nearly maxed out. I'm in huge cc debt, apppr 35k, and bankruptcy seems like the easiest way out and to feel like a person again. I want to try and fight my way out of this mess if I can. I would like to see if a service can help me but know there's a lot of scams out there. Is CCCS a debt consolidation service like Debtco or are they two different things? How do I go about finding a fair and reputable service? What types of questions should I ask? I'm near Portland, OR. Anyone have a suggestion of where to find a good service or lawyer (if bnkrp is in the future)?

Also, is a charge off really that much better or different than filing for bankruptcy? What's the difference when it comes to your credit report and how it is viewed by potential lenders?

Pennsylvania Debt Collection Practices?

In the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is a debt collector allowed to speak to the spouse of a Consumer if the spouse is not a signitor of the agreement creating the debt? If so, does the consumer have to give permission first? I'm trying to figure out if a collector is allowed to speak to my wife for a credit card I had before we were married.

Where is the best place to go for a debt consolidation loan that won’t hurt my credit?

I have a ton of revolving debt (mostly credit cards) and just bought a house 5 months ago so I don't have much for collateral. I've already been denied by a bank so is there anywhere I can turn to for cosolidation purposes that isn't going to kill my credit? I want to consolidate my high interest credit cards onto a lower interest loan and need suggestions.
